I've decided to put myself on a Low Buy. I've been thinking about my savings goal for the move, and it's not going to happen if I don't start saving 200 dollars a paycheck. I haven't been doing that lately because of all of the bills I have and then my "fun" spending. Since I've cut back on eating out, the next is makeup. I've been pretty good lately, but with some of the summer collections dropping I will need to hold myself accountable. This Low Buy will apply until I save up 2,000 dollars at least. I'm hovering around 800 at the moment.
NOT ALLOWED:
-eye shadow
-lip gloss
-eye liner (unless current liquid or pencil runs out; just no new ones to experiment with)
-candles
-shoes
-body wash (until I run out of EVERY one I have stock piled)
ALLOWED:
-lipstick (but only 2 from any given collection; I'm looking at you MAC)
-nail polish (but only 3 total for the whole summer; top coat not included)
- 1 blush
-refills of any skincare, makeup, etc. that runs out
- 1 pair of black jeans, if I find any that suit me
- no clothing item, besides jeans, that exceeds 50 dollars (I just bought a 100 dollar white blazer and cannot afford another investment like that anytime soon)
Most of these things I really don't think I'll have a problem with. For example, I'm not a huge fan of lip gloss. But, with all of these limited edition summer collections coming up, I can get tempted. Basically, I need to stay out of Ulta and Sephora. Better safe than sorry.
